    Abstract

"Because of the ageing of the Australian population and concomitant rise in the prevalence of dementia, challenging behaviours associated with dementia will increasingly present to carers and health services. The results of this study present a strong case for more research to refine, develop and more widely disseminate psychosocial techniques which can be used as alternatives or adjuncts to pharmacology."--page ix
