Quasi-static fiber strain sensing with FM spectroscopy

    Abstract

    We present a highly sensitive detection system for quasi-static strain, employing FM spectroscopy with a gas cell as absolute frequency reference, demonstrating a few tens of pε√Hz sensitivity between 1 - 6 Hz.
