Abstract

The isolobal analogy between the fragments CR, P, and d⁵‐ML₅ suggested the reaction of tBuCP with the Mo complex 1. Indeed, this reaction gave the metathesis product 2. The W complex 3 reacted with tBuCP to give an adduct 4, which can be regarded as an Fe(CO)₃‐stabilized 1‐phospha‐3‐tungstacyclobutadiene. (Figure Presented.)
