Abstract

The isolobal analogy between the fragments CR, P, and d5‐ML5 suggested the reaction of tBuC≡P with the Mo complex 1. Indeed, this reaction gave the metathesis product 2. The W complex 3 reacted with tBuC≡P to give an adduct 4, which can be regarded as an Fe(CO)3‐stabilized 1‐phospha‐3‐tungstacyclobutadiene.
