    Abstract

Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries, combined with conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks (overall known as REDD+), has been dubbed a critical part of the global climate change solution. REDD+ is viewed as an important option not only to help curb emissions from forests but also allow for supporting sustainable forest and environmental management.
