Reexamination of string phase and shear thickening in simple fluids

    Abstract

    String phase and shear thickening in simple fluids were studied. Configurational expression for the temperature was applied and a configurational thermostat was used. Results showed that for simple liquids with configurational thermostat there is neither a sharp drop of viscosity nor any shear-induced order.
