Abstract

The Reimagine CoDesign Culture Lab was a 3.5 day event of coordinated activities organized around the shared goal of exploring creativity and collaboration in teaching, research, and the practice of engineering and computer science. Curated by Maya Haviland and Dan Etheridge, the Culture Lab was hosted by the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) at the ANU as part of the Reimagine initiative. The event included curated series of speakers, master classes and interactive co-design workshops exploring the role of creativity and collaboration and discussing new approaches to teaching and learning that better address the changing needs of today’s graduates and the people that will be solving the problems of the 21st century and beyond. The event was held at the Kambri precinct at the Australian National University, the 3.5 day event that was the result of 12 months of research and curatorial work. It included more than 30 presenters and workshop leaders from across Australia and internationally, and over 180 participants. The investment from the commissioning body (ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science) was approximately $235,000.
