Abstract

This paper situates the collaborative Indigenous Data Sovereignty digital artwork 'Ngapulara Ngarngarnyi Wirra' (2022) as an example of speculative rematriation. It extends the concepts and practices of rematriation in First Nations scholars such as Robin R. R. Gray (Ts'msyen/Mikisew Cree), and applies it to the context of the return of biometric sporting data within the matrilineal kinship system of Adnyamathanha people.
