Abstract

This paper presents a nonlinear state feedback controller design for a synchronous machine. The nonlinearity is included the controller design process by exploiting integral quadratic constraint conditions. The design provides improved stability and transient response in the presence of uncertainty and nonlinearity in the system. The design also provides a guaranteed bound on the cost function.
