Rogue wave clusters with atom-like structures

    Abstract

    We study the hierarchy of rational solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation that are higher-order rogue waves in this model. This analysis reveals the existence of clusters, analogous to atoms with their shells of electrons.
