title = "Self-action effects for the laser radiation scattered by metal nanoparticles",
abstract = "The self-action effects of the laser radiation incident on metal nanoparticles of spherical shape are analyzed within the framework of a free-electron model and a phenomenological description of the nonlinear electrodynamic properties of the metal surface. Analytical expressions are obtained for the nonlinear addition to the field-induced dipole moment of a nanoparticle at the fundamental frequency. The theory we developed explains the experimentally observed features typical of the nonlinear susceptibility of the dielectric materials containing nanosized metal inclusions.",
