Abstract

A self-powered room-temperature nitrogen dioxide (NO2) sensor is designed and fabricated based on indium phosphide homojunction nanowire array. The proof-to-concept sensor structure has been demonstrated with high sensitivity, stability and selectivity. This work promises a new family of self-powered sensors made of III-V compound semiconductor nanowires, for future mega-scale Internet-of-Things systems.
