Abstract
The optically induced growth and interaction of self-written waveguides in a photopolymerizable resin was analyzed. The interaction depended on the mutual coherence and the relative power of the input beams. The differences and similarities between the interaction of spatial solitons and self-written waveguides were presented. An analytical model which described the growth of single waveguides and the main features of their interaction in photosensitive materials was presented.
