    Abstract

    Returning from Vanuatu, Rochelle will provide an update of her longitudinal study of economic and social impacts of the Recognising Seasonal Employer scheme (RSE). Additionally she will discuss her recent attendance at Horticulture New Zealand's 8th annual conference held in Apia, Samoa. She will share her contribution as well as some of the highlighted areas of concern and recommendations in regards to the seasonal program. Rochelle has also recently initiated research with ni-Vanuatu workers involved in Australia's Seasonal Worker Program (SWP). She will report some of the advantages, developments and concerns workers and various stakeholders discussed with her in regards to SWP.
