Abstract
Hydrodynamic forces generated in an aqueous Newtonian fluid were directly measured. The occurrence of partial boundary slip was revealed. The degree of slip was described by the magnitude of the slip length, and found to be a function of both surface approach veocity and fluid viscosity.
