    Abstract

Crystals of the very soluble iminophosphonamide species Bu2 tP(=NSiMe3)NHSiMe3 (1) and [But 2P(NSiMe3)2]Li·(thf)2 (2) have been obtained and were mounted at dry-ice temperature using a propan-2-ol matrix for X-ray data collection at 100 K. This very simple method for handling the crystals at low temperature is described together with the resulting molecular structures of (1) and (2).
