    Abstract

Chapter 15 brings the discussion as a whole to a conclusion by setting forth the Editor’s personal reflections on the substantive topics that have been addressed. In the second section of the Chapter, therefore, what the Editor considers to be some of the major takeaways from each of Chapters 5 to 14 are laid out in turn. Thereafter the folly of interpreting particular technologies in isolation is argued, and examples are given of the important links and dependencies that the book reveals between advances in diverse fields of science and technology. Noting the contention that the various parts of international law itself are convergent, the Chapter suggests, and explains why, ‘composition’ would arguably be a more apt description of what we actually observe. The Chapter then closes with some concluding remarks representing the Editor’s thoughts informed by the substantive Chapters taken as a whole.
