    Abstract

Interactive electronic textile installation that explores the connections of haptic and sonic texture. Two hand made audio synthesisers are interwoven into a handwoven tapestry of wool, cotton and aluminium. Geometric shapes and textures integrated into the tapestry design represent different oscillators that are activated and modulated using the conductivity of a participant's skin. When participants explore the tapestry through touch they are able to play the synthesiser making variations of sounds that are amplified into the museum space. $2000 commission. Solo piece developed over 1 year.
