Songa Kinkulu: Att rekonstruera historia tillsammans

A series of workshops and public film and photography screenings of newly digitized material, glass plate negatives and 35 mm film that was recorded and photographed between 1907-1928 in Congo Centrale by missionaries sent out by the Swedish Mission Church. The films and photographs were shown in the villages where they were once created, and in workshops together with older people living in the villages, memories were collected and connected to the visual material. Over 5 evenings, screenings were then held where the workshop participants could share their memories and knowledge with the rest of the audience. The language was Kikongo.
