Abstract

We have obtained spectropolarimetric observations of the nearby sequence-D red giants Z Eri and S Lep in order to seek evidence for the existence of magnetic fields on the surfaces of these stars. The observations did not reveal any magnetic field signatures. We estimate that any ordered magnetic field on the surface of these stars should be less than ̃100 Gauss.
