Abstract

An anionic surfactant, 4-dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBS-H), has been used to prepare ZrO ₂ films as the template at the air-water interface. Further investigations have been focused on DBS-H template stabilities, which control the structure as well as properties of the products. Significantly, a novel composite ZrO ₂/SiO ₂ film could be obtained by reacting ZrO ₂/DBS-H composite with Na ₂SiO ₃.
