Abstract

Pushmi-pullyu with palladium: Although created by Ïa donation from SnCl₂ to a Pd^II complex, the Sn-Pd bonds in the compounds depicted exhibit formal Ïa donation in the opposite direction. Computational and spectroscopic data support stannylpalladium (Pd ^I-Sn^III) and palladastanna(IV)ocane (Pd⁰ Sn^IV) descriptions over stannylene coordination.
