Abstract
The discussion at the Twenty-First Pacific Trade and Development Conference on corporate links and foreign direct investment (FDI) in Asia and the Pacific echoed the main analytical threads of the conference: detailed and specific analysis of the nature and behaviour of the multinational enterprise, and more general analysis of the institutional and cultural environment in which the multinational enterprise operates.
