    Abstract

A vital part of research education is to have a working knowledge of several types of research methodologies while developing specialised knowledge in one methodology. This chapter presents my experiences of teaching a qualitative research methods course in the field of management. I outline the rationale and the potential benefits of the curriculum and assessment mechanisms I follow in the course. Some challenges and special considerations based on student cohorts are also presented. I hope the chapter helps other academics considering teaching qualitative research methods courses develop their curriculum.
