    Abstract

Since 2015, the CIRAP, in collaboration with Tetiaroa Society, is conducting an archaeological research project on Teti'aroa atoll. Over three field seasons, we have completed an extensive survey of the island and recorded around a hundred structures on surface. Some of them attest of a temporary occupation by the Tahitian elite, which was already documented through oral traditions. In this paper, we present the preliminary results of our inventory as well as the sourcing analyses of exogenous basalt samples from the atoll.
