Abstract

The crystal structure of the complex trans-[OsCl(NO)(PPh3)2(OSNC6H4Me-4) has been determined and confirms that the sulphur(IV) heterocumulene adopts a pseudo-olefinic mode of coordination (η2-NS), with the pyramidal sulphur trans to chloride.
