Abstract
Today, modern yoga - once considered the esoteric pursuit of Indian ascetics - has fans all over the world. The global yoga industry is valued at US$5.7 billion, with an estimated 15 million devotees in America alone professing to some sort of yoga practice. But yoga isnt just important because it helps practitioners find health, wellness or spiritual depth. Increasingly, yoga also allows people to tell new stories about themselves and how they fit in a globalising present
