Abstract
The key aspects and features of the recently created Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) located in Hobart and the manifesto of David Walsh, are discussed. The museum also highlights Tasmania as a 'destination', complete with spectacular scenery, luxury accommodation and a vibrant and diverse arts community and is a symbol of the extraordinary transitions that Tasmania has undergone over the last twenty-five years.
