    Abstract

Today, the notion of a network is a crucial part of the Quebec health system and of social health research. It is both a way of organizing health and community services, a method of investigating these services and a more general theory of apprehension of the social world. This book provides practical examples of how the notion of a network is mobilized in Québec to better understand the processes at work in the field of health. To do so, it brings together authors from various disciplinary horizons. Sociologists, psychologists, anthropologists, social service researchers, public administration specialists, program evaluation specialists present their specific use of the concept of network as a research method, theoretical inspiration or object of study. All of these contributions thus offer the first French-language work on the subject. It will be useful both for students seeking to become familiar with the "network approach" and for more experienced researchers interested in learning about contemporary research in this field, health professionals, social workers, On the road to social innovation, and to citizens wondering about the world of health today.
