    Abstract

This commissioned essay surveys developments in networked photographic practice in 2020 in both international and Australian contexts. For those situated along the east coast of this ancient antipodean landmass last summer, the cybernetic loop of documenting, viewing and circulating images of ecological devastation, fires near me cartographies and charts conveying wind and road movements, served as a means of sharing and internalising codified messages of solistalgia. There is new agency in revealing live action global shifts as they occur.
