Abstract
This permanent public artwork was developed over a 2 year period with Tamworth Regional Gallery and local industry partner and fabricator Andromeda Industries. The final woven sculpture, made from industrial materials uniquely produced by Andromeda, acts as a landmark and wayfinder in Bicentennial Park adjacent to Tamworth's CBD. It is part of a local council strategy to diversify the cultural narrative of the city and brings awareness and celebration of the Regional Gallery's significant 50 year old textile collection into public space.
