Abstract

This paper discusses how to design small-halo-type periodic orbits around L1/L2 with low-level continuous thrust. It starts with formulating the problem as a trajectory optimization problem. Then we convert it into a nonlinear programing problem and solve. In addition, the ways to send spacecraft into this type of periodic orbits are also discussed. The results show the developed injection and stabilizing methods can be applicable to the actual space missions. Copyright
