Abstract
This paper examines the role of unitary executive theory in Project 2025, the compendium of policy advice published in the lead up to Trump's inauguration in 2025. It scrutinises the project of "deconstructing the administrative state" and advances the argument that Project 2025 is just as concerned as reconstructing the sate as it is with deconstructing it.
