    Abstract

    Twilight Musical Dialogues: Musical Kin ��� Father and Daughter The Twilight Musical Dialogues series features collaborations with some of Australia���s finest musicians. 'Musical Kin' explores artistic lives of composers with extensive musical family trees. Works from both known and lesser known composers from musical families were performed by members of musical families, and through this, familial themes were explored. In this concert for the Newcastle Music Festival, Christopher Allan (Piano) joined his daughter Miriam Allan (Soprano 'sublime singing', Gramophone) and Artistic Director, flautist Sally Walker to share part of their artistic lives, performing works by composers with extensive family trees: the Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Schumann families. The sold out concert gained a five star review from Limelight.
