Abstract

Data from the single-colour polarized TP spectra and emission spectra of crystals of Cs₂NaTbCl₆ and Cs₂NaTbF₆, and from the emission spectrum of Cs₂NaTbBr₆ have been analyzed. Evidence is found for a large correlation crystal field, in several multiplets, that cannot be attributed to spin-correlation alone.
