Abstract

A thirst for information about how landscapes work has led David Tongway to accumulate a wealth of cross-disciplinary knowledge. A focus on the less visible elements of ecosystems, particularly about soils and how water moves across and into them, has allowed him to develop a system of analysing and monitoring soil landscape condition.
