    Abstract

    Research has shown that a significant proportion of depressed mothers decline professional treatment (Dennis & Chung-Lee, 2006). Early detection programs for postnatal depression are designed to overcome many of the common help-seeking barriers. We conducted a two-year follow-up of mothers from the Australian Capital Territory who participated in the beyondblue PND program to examine long-term depressive symptoms, treatment uptake and barriers to care
