    Abstract

Tomorrow will mark the fourth anniversary of September 11, 2001. In the four years since the tragic attacks on New York and Washington, we have witnessed terrible atrocities in Bali, Madrid, London, Iraq and elsewhere. And an end of the senseless violence is not in sight. A question that thus seems to be on the minds of many Australians these days is: what are the chances of a major terrorism attack happening here?
