Abstract
A Regional Authority for West Central Arnhem Land looks on track to beestablished in 2006. The proposed Authority is being initiated by Indigenous (Bininj/Arrarrkpi) representatives from Kunbarllanjnja Community Government Council, Warruwi Community Inc., Minjilang Community Inc., and the Demed and Jibulwanagu Outstation Resource Associations, in the Top End of the Northern Territory (NT). The proposed area covers approximately 25,000 km2 and has an estimated population of approximately 2,500 people.
